• Diagnosed by the Audience:
  • Wayne is undiagnosed, but clearly suffering from a number of things. Possible diagnoses include post-traumatic stress disorder and neglect. He has also suffered some sibling abuse.
    • Wayne also seems to be fairly insensate to pain. This may simply be an incredible pain tolerance, or it could be a hereditary sensory neuropathy, particularly one of the varieties that results in reduced pain sensation primarily in the extremities, as he seems to react more to pain in his core. These kinds of disorders can coincide with cognitive impairment, as well as reduced ability to feel heat or cold, and even a reduced ability to sweat. While far from conclusive, a lot of Wayne's quirks make sense in this hypothesis.
  • Del is also undiagnosed, but suffering from the death of her mother. She is likely working through post-traumatic embitterment disorder.
