• Fan-Preferred Couple: A suprising number of people ships Gin/Hisana and Hisana/Rangiku.
  • Which, of course, evolved into Gin/Hisana/Rangiku.
  • Hisana/Ukitake has a bit of a following, too.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Rukia giving Kaien a If You Ever Do Anything to Hurt Her... speech as he takes Hisana to Seireitei becomes this after Chapter 35, when Aizen frames Kaien for Hisana's murder. Rukia ends up hating the guy and actually works towards killing him.
• Ship Tease: There might be some one sided Hisana/Ukitake if you squit. The author refused to comment.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Gin and Hisana weren't supposed to be friends in the orginal draft, but the story apparently just kinda went that way on its own.
  • There were several possible resolutions to the Visored problem before the author finally settled on the one used.
