• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:
  • Early into the movie, Adrian is accosted by a group of men who chase him across the city until he manages to evade them. Their identity is never really specified, as they don't appear to be tied to Vlad in anyway, and are never referenced again afterwards.
  • Father Ilie seemingly using magic to disarm an enemy. Nobody comments on it and he never uses it again.
• Narm: The deaths of Vlad's father and elder brother. They basically jump on a grave and wait for people to bury them alive.
• Special Effects Failure: Mircea's "impalement". Its clear that he isn't actually impaled and his body is just hanging from a straight-up spear.
