• Values Dissonance: Most of the cast, intentionally or not, display some rather traditional views of male/female relationships. In one instance, Jax claims that he expects his girlfriend Brittany to make sandwiches for him when he gets back from work.
  • In her first appearance on the show, Brittany's mother attends Jax's roast. After hearing graphic accounts of his cheating, lying, stealing and generally gross behavior, she is most offended by the idea that he kissed a man. It's pretty jarring to see on a show set in West Hollywood of all places.
