YMMV / Vader Immortal

Go To

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: It's never stated if the reason why Vader left the smuggler for dead was out of simple You Have Outlived Your Usefulness or because of the smuggler's secret intentions to use the Bright Star to restore Mustafar instead of giving it to him. The fact that he had used the Mole to inform him of the smuggler's progress seemed to indicate the latter.
  • Awesome Moments: Let's go over a few examples!
    • Firstly, you get to wield a lightsaber. An honest-to-god lightsaber. It feels incredible to wield them throughout the game's episodes.
    • Being able to snatch blasters out of the air after throwing enemy stormtroopers aside, then turning the blaster against the others.
    • The final battle against Vader himself. You, yourself, face Darth Vader in a one on one lightsaber duel. You can even actually manage to cut him in a few spots, and also counter everything Vader throws at you with telekinesis! While you definitely can't hope to win, the fact you, a smuggler with only a few days of training, can hold up against Vader himself, and even make him frustrated, ultimately managing to stop his goals even if you can't beat him in a fair fight, is good enough as it is. It's simply outstanding.
    • Being able to reach your hand out and use the Force. You can even throw your saber in the third episode and pull it back to you.
  • It's Short, So It Sucks!: While they are only ten bucks each, and they have tons of stuff to do in the lightsaber dojo, each episode has a story mode that clocks in at roughly half an hour to forty-five minutes.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Being face-to-face with Vader is surprisingly terrifying. Especially when the only light in the room comes from his lightsaber.
