Tear Jerker / Vader Immortal

  • The fate of Lady Corvax and Lord Corvax. Rulers of Mustafar from the old, they were happy together, only for Lord Corvax to die, causing his wife to be so distraught that she ended up replicating some of Anakin's own fall into the Dark Side by risking all of Mustafar with the Bright Star... And just like how Anakin's efforts were ultimately All for Nothing, so too was Lady Corvax's efforts doomed, only she actually had it worse. She manages to doom her entire world into devastation and doesn't even get her husband back, instead trapping him in limbo. It's clear from the sheer pleading tone in her voice that all she has left after this is her shame and a far away hope that one day her descendant would be able to undo what she had done.
  • Even Vader himself gets this. It's made clear that for all his words about using the Bright Star to gain unlimited power, his desire for the Bright Star was ultimately because he just desperately wants to be reunited with Padme.
    • The wail of remorse and grief when Padme announced her pregnancy, Vader's sorrow over having seemingly accidentally murdered his child along with Padme evident.
    • Hell, even the final duel with Vader would make it easy for you to sympathize with him and Padme's tragic ending:
    • The first thing we hear of Padme was that all that she wants is Anakin's love before she then states she was afraid, which might indicate she is somehow aware from the beyond what her husband is trying to do and desperately wants him to stop. What makes it worse is that Vader too seems to be aware of this, as he hesitates before responding not with joy, but grim determination. It's implied from how he mentioned that there are countless others whose energies he can use that deep down Vader does know that what he's doing is wrong, but he is just so desperate to see her again that he is willing to take the risk, showing he still hasn't learned at all after how his sacrifice of the Jedi Order amounted to nothing.
    • Subtle, but when Vader is force-choking the smuggler, the apparition of Padme begs her husband to stop, to come back, and that she loves him. Vader actually hesitates and lets go, clearly reminded of how he had previously killed his wife the same way, and it's implied that seeing her husband so willing to replicate the way with which he had not only killed her, but also seriously endangered their children, had lead her to give up on any hope of resurrection.
