  • Epileptic Trees: At the end of Book 1, the Sequel Hook mentioned that it would be about a "new, but familiar" couple. As soon as this was revealed, many fans were quick to assume that the couple in question would be Austin and Mandy, meaning that it would be a genderlocked sequel to a gender-of-choice story starring already-introduced characters (something that had never been done before in a Choices story). However, when the title of the sequel was revealed, along with its release date of Winter 2023 and status as a GOC book, many of the same fans assumed that the original plan was to have Austin and Mandy as the couple, and it was changed mid-production because fans would react negatively to the idea. This would explain the approximate 18 month gap between the end of the first book and the start of the second one (considering what a long gap it is for a relatively simple romance book).
  • Fan Nickname: Some players have nicknamed this series "Big Sky Country, Mature Edition" due to the premise involving country living, the main love interest being a cowhand, and the story being rated 17+.
  • I Knew It!:
    • Players weren't surprised that Mandy would return in Unbridled, due to the main setting of the book being the Martinez ranch.
    • Fans correctly guessed that there would be a threesome between Bryn, Ryder, and Mandy at some point in Unbridled, due to the constant Belligerent Sexual Tension between the latter two and the Dream Sequence in Chapter 3, with the theory coming to pass in Chapter 14.
  • Shocking Moments: The reveal that not only would Unbridled have multiple love interests, but one of them would be Mandy Martinez from the previous book, came as a surprise to many fans, since Untameable is a single love interest story, and Unbridled was not mentioned by Pixelberry on their list of upcoming multi-LI stories, so it's safe to say that a lot of people weren't expecting this development.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: Mandy's dads. They're meant to be seen as narrow-minded, unreasonable and cruel for not believing in Mandy's plans for their family business, but as stated below, she has proven to not be the most efficient manager.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
    • Mandy can come off as this in "Unbridled". She consistently makes numerous hasty business decisions without thinking long-term, adding a lot of stress to Ryder and Bryn, who are often forced to help her out last minute. To a good amount of players, her ideas aren't bad, but she is a rather poor manager.
    • Ryder. Him almost constantly being in a bad mood and arguing with Mandy over a lot of things makes it hard for some players to relate to him and think he's a flat, "brooding" love interest.
