YMMV / Uncle Croc's Block

Go To

  • Life Imitates Art: By all accounts, Charles Nelson Reilly despised his character and the show, very much as his character did. He and Jonathan Harris also got along very badly, much like their onscreen characters had.
  • Uncertain Audience: Uncle Croc's Block combined an Animated Anthology program, a live-action satire of local TV kid shows, and a sitcom about the chaos and clashing egos that went on behind the scenes of the show. However, the three cartoons that made up the anthology were so weak and pedestrian that they were inadvertent parodies of the cheap and cheesy cartoons a typical kid show would run while the premise of the live-action segments proved too sophisticated for a typical seven-year-old and had to be dumbed down. The result was an ungainly mess that nobody—especially children—liked.
