Tropes you may or may not agree with…in the Twilight Zone:

  • Awesome Music: Second only to Black Knight 2000, according to some. Helps that the main gameplay theme is Golden Earring's "Twilight Zone", awesome music in its own right.
  • Demonic Spiders: The Town Square bumpers are located just above the left outlane and can send your ball into it if you're not very careful, while a drain in the right outlane is comparatively rare. Some arcades will install a guard around this area to prevent balls from being bumped into the left outlane.
  • Memetic Mutation: DON'T TOUCH THE DOOR
  • Most Wonderful Sound:
    • "DON'T TOUCH THE DOOR! DON'T TOUCH THE DOOR! DONTTOUCHTHEDOORDONTTOUCHTHEDOOR" (boom) Cue multiball.
      • Likewise, one of the loudest and most satisfying Jackpot sounds of all of pinball.
    • The Power's scream as you defeat it. Doubles as a moment of awesome with a clenched fist making 3 bangs right afterward.
    • "You have come to the end of your journey. Survival is everything."
  • Scrappy Mechanic:
    • The Powerfield's "Magna-Flippers" can be unreliable depending on their condition, making a Battle the Power victory much more difficult than it needs to be. Plus, it's not readily obvious how to use them effectively.
    • Any successful Skill Shot sends the ball into the rocket kicker, which shoots it across to the hitchhiker tunnel...from which it exits into the Town Square jet bumpers and can potentially drain down the left outlane. There's no ball saver enabled by default, so if you don't own the game or the operator has chosen to not enable it, skill shots are basically suicide. Some players advise just skipping the Skill Shot entirely.
