• Nightmare Fuel:
  • The mushroom people. They look like normal humans (albeit with mushrooms on their heads) but they're actually a death cult being slowly killed by the parasitic fungi. The residents will trick visitors into staying in their town so that they can convert them due to their belief that nobody would want to live in this crazy world.
  • "Alice in Nerima Land", the show itself has some disturbing undertones, especially Su who wears a noose around her neck due to being actively suicidal. Then it gets even worse when the girls arrive at a town where Alice and her friends had been defeated and killed by the villains, and later personally witness Su being strangled to death by her noose. Then, they found out to their shock that it was Yoka who help the villains.
  • The people of Ōizumi-gakuen Station were transformed into characters from Alice in Nerima Land, a process which changed not only their bodies but also their memories and personalities. The person they were before is effectively gone.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Akira in Episode 3 grows more disturbed and frightened as the mushroom people show their true colors and she desperately tries to save her friends.
  • In Episode 6, Shizuru reveals to the others what occurred between her and Yoka that led to the latter leaving Agano. After Yoka revealed to her about her dreams in making equipment for astronauts, Shizuru unknowingly made several tactless remarks that lead Yoka to believe Shizuru was putting her down.
