  • Covered Up:
    • In 2023, country singer Luke Combs released his version of "Fast Car" which made #1 on the country charts and peaked at #2 on the Hot 100, outpacing the original's peak of #6. Downplayed in that Combs made an effort to ensure Chapman's original was not forgotten, and it ended up winning her a CMA Song of the Year award in 2023. In 2024, they duetted the song at the Grammys.
    • The remix of "Fast Car" by Jonas Blue also proved to be very popular.
  • First Installment Wins: Her self-titled debut is still her most popular album.
  • Signature Song: Has three on her debut album, namely "Fast Car" (which takes the cake), "Talkin' Bout A Revolution" and "Baby Can I Hold You". Then, there's "Give Me One Reason" which repeated her success.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • "Fast Car" has got to be in the running for the fabled title of 'Saddest Song Ever'. Everything from the haunting guitar figure to the tragic lyrics, listen to the song and try not to at least tear-up.
    • "Cold Feet": A poor boy grows up wishing for luck and praying that his life will turn around. He eventually falls in love and gets married, but his wife wants an expensive lifestyle, so he works himself to the bone trying to provide for her. In the end, he can't afford it on honest wages, so he joins some old high school friends in robbing a bank. He gets shot and killed by police at the end of the song.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: Mean-spirited jokes aside, it's not uncommon for first-time listeners to mistake Tracy for a male vocalist because of her unisex name and relatively deep voice — Luke Combs, hardly a tenor boy, did not have to adjust the octave when he covered "Fast Car."
