YMMV / Total Drama: "The Final Wreck-ening"

• Alternative Character Interpretation: Did Mal genuinely believe that Mike would be better off with him in charge, even to an extent? Or was he simply making a desperate lie?
• Angst? What Angst?: Mike's personalities have hardly any negative reaction to learning that they are effectively going to die. They join this murder-suicide pact with next to zero hesitance, and Mike is the only one who needs convincing.
• Anti-Climax Boss: Mal is defeated literally with the push of a button in Mike's own head, and all's right as rain almost immediately after Mike returns to reality.
• Esoteric Happy Ending:
  • Mike/Zoey win the million dollars and are finally reunited, leaving the island with Cameron and Gwen. However, Wawanakwa has been sunk and no mention on the fate of the eight contestants who floated away is ever revealed.
  • Mike's disorder instantly being cured could also be a problem. Earlier this season, he was freaking out and not knowing how to manage himself with the loss of his personalities. In the moment he's happy, but once more time passes and he starts to truly feel the loss of his alters, how will he deal with it?
• Fanon Discontinuity: It's common in fan works especially for the events of this episode to be ignored, most notably Mike's MPD being cured and Camp Wawanakwa sinking.
• Signature Scene: The scene where Mike and his personalities (except for Mal) go up to Mal's tower and push a very literal Reset Button that cures Mike of his MPD is what most people remember about this episode.
• Squick: Owen filling the balloons with his own farts, with the contestants trapped within.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The absence of almost all of the season's contestants during the finale challenge was something all fans highly disliked in the episode, as in the previous seasons, all the eliminated contestants returned to watch the finale and support their chosen finalists. Here, all contestants, minus the finalists and their helpers, are seen inside balloons and then float away and are never seen ever again. It doesn't help that Pahkitew Island would also do the same in its finale later on.
