- Designated Hero: For a number of viewers, Buster and Babs getting Plucky captured by Elmyra just to save their own hides came off as just an unusually low move, especially since Plucky didn't really do anything particularly heinous to deserve it. It also doesn't help that they make jokes about it instead of showing concern for Plucky's well-being.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Pinky and the Brain being among the pets captured by Elmyra, thanks to the ill-fated spin-off based on the three of them together that would come a few years later is either this or Hilarious in Hindsight depending on your view of the spin-off.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- Michael Jordan's cameo becomes funny in retrospect because of a certain movie made two years later that starred him and featured many famous Looney Tunes characters.
- Rank and Stumpy, the none-too-flattering parodies of the titular duo become even funnier when their actual voice actor went on to perform a majority of the Looney Tunes, including Hamton following the passing of Don Messick.
- Tough Act to Follow: To How I Spent My Vacation, the DTV movie which also dealt with a season-themed trip. While this special has its moments, it isn't nearly as good overall. It doesn't help that the special was animated by Wang instead of TMS (who was thankfully brought back for Night Ghoulery).
- Unintentional Period Piece: Even moreso than some episodes of the TV series, the references/parodies in this special squarely date it to 1993/1994- Jurassic Park, The Fugitive, Free Willy, and In the Line of Fire were all fairly new at the time, and there are the aforementioned parodies of Beavis and Butt-Head and Ren & Stimpy.
