• Awesome Music: The main theme, Depend on You.
• Nightmare Fuel: The Damashi is drawn in a cutesy manner, but after the boss battle with Bandiger in Zozotto, suddenly one Damashi lets out a deep evil satanic voice as it drags Bandiger for 'punishment' for cheating in a slot machine.
• Retroactive Recognition: One of the earlier titles starring Amanda Winn-Lee before she did Yukiko Amagi, although may be subverted because this is after she voiced the original Rei Ayanami.
• Scrappy Mechanic:
  • The battle system. You are only allowed one front-line attacker in your party of three, and the other two characters cannot engage in direct combat. If your tank dies and you're using two females as your backup, you are effectively screwed in some fights.
  • Marion's mini game of rock-paper-scissors, which goes into two phases. The first being the aforementioned game, then guessing which way the robot will look (with 5 different directions). A round WON'T pass until both phases are a win or a loss, so if you win one and lose the other, the round repeats, practically making it go on forever.
• Sidetracked by the Gold Saucer: Dating.
• Viewer Gender Confusion: Players often think Soushi is a girl after seeing game art. Strangely, ingame characters never make a mistake. In fact, it seems to help him attract the ladies.
