• Harsher in Hindsight: Dr. Crane has a history of heart attacks, one of which finishes him off at the climax. In Real Life, not long after this episode was filmed, Ross Martin had a heart attack and had to miss several episodes while he recovered; another attack killed him in 1981.
• Values Dissonance: A woman working for Colonel Richmond meets with Artie so they can discuss the list of suspects in Crane's kidnapping. While she's reading the list, Artie leans over her shoulder, sniffing her perfume; it may have been acceptable back then, but these days, the scene looks like sexual harassment.
