• Complete Monster: Annie Palmer, the titular witch, was a slaveholder, Voodoo practitioner, and Black Widow, murdering three of her husbands for their wealth as well as several of her lovers. Using the bones of her slaves' children in Voodoo rituals, she would brainwash her slaves into complacency, taking any who rebelled into her basement where she would torture them to death with whips, taking pleasure in her actions. Even after being killed, it's said that her ghost still continues to haunt Rose Hall.
• Moral Event Horizon: Supposedly, Annie poisoned her first husband, John, and claimed afterward that he died of fever — and that was only the beginning.
