• Alternate Character Interpretation: Are Lorens really Humans Are Bastards who just see their robot daughter as a toy like all other robots? Reprogramming her into Nelda while pretty nasty and cold thing to do... could also be seen as Mercy Kill since like with knowledge that she is a robot is implied to actually be a Fate Worse than Death for Jana. Yet, they couldn't bear to lose their child thus they had to make a cruel choice to keep their daughter without her suffering Fate Worse than Death. On the other hand, their completely emotionless faces and obvious life of comfort would imply that they did in fact view her as nothing more than a toy and wiped her memory just to get rid of trouble.
• Fridge Brilliance: Early on in the episode, Jana suggests they all go to a restaurant to have dinner but Dr. Loren refuses. It's probable that since Jana is a robot, she does not eat and only thinks she does. Going to a restaurant would likely reveal her true nature, which the Lorens clearly do not want.
