• Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
  • Susannah making a heartbroken Belly promise her that she will "take care" of Conrad, when Belly herself is only a teen, is a lot of responsibility and guilt for a kid. Not only this, but only specifying one of her children when she has two, and Belly was Jeremiah's best friend? Doesn't look like great parenting all around.
  • Conrad may be hurt and lashing out in the car, but trying to shame his bisexual little brother for having kissed a lot of people is a very bad look and at worst comes off as biphobic.
  • Steven arguing that he can excuse Conrad breaking Belly's heart because his mother died, and Taylor has to remind Steven that Susannah was Jeremiah's mother, too, is a pretty bad look when he refers to Jeremiah as his "best friend'.
