• Alternate Character Interpretation: Johnny's tale about the man whose death Carmine Sr. signed off on once his earning potential had evaporated is suspiciously similar to Johnny's own altercation with Ralph, only with exaggerated circumstances and the ending Johnny wanted. Hey John, did poor dishonored "Jimmy" even really exist?
• Jerkass Woobie: For all the evil that Johnny Sack did in his life, it's hard not to feel for him and his family as his inevitable death by cancer closes in on him.
