- Harsher in Hindsight: Talking to the mentally ten-year-old version of Homer leads Bart to conclude that he never wanted to be his father so much as he wanted to be a kid like him. The following season's "Barthood" explicitly gives this as the reason their relationship is troubled throughout Bart's childhood, with Homer admitting as much to a 15-year-old Bart.
