• Hilarious in Hindsight: At the beginning of the episode, Comic Book Guy remarks that everyone hates Jar Jar Binks but him. A later episode would have CBG watch a parody of Star Wars called Cosmic Wars, and the film's expy of Jar Jar (called Jim Jam Bonks) pissed the audience off so much that he declares it to be the "worst Cosmic Wars ever", meaning that he likely now hates Jar Jar just as much as everyone else does.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Homer's tape to Marge feels very similar to what happens in The Simpsons Movie, only with the roles reversed.
