• Memetic Mutation: Sneed's Feed and Seed (Formerly Chuck's). Initially a Forced Meme in the /tv/ board in 4chan, it eventually evolved and branched into different memes of its own until its popularity rivaled that of Baneposting. It came to a point where simply writing "Sneed" and/or "Chuck" constitutes a meme of its own (called "Sneedposting"), and it also inspired one of the secret songs of the infamous Friday Night Fankan mod.
• Special Effects Failure: When Homer rubs Lisa's head after coining the name "tomacco," there is overlap with Lisa's previous pose.
• Unintentional Period Piece: The Simpsons go to the movies. They first appear to be watching Saving Private Ryan, but it's a commercial. The actual film is "The Poke of Zorro", an Anachronism Stew mashup of The Mask of Zorro and The Man in the Iron Mask that is inaccurate both historically and to the source material (as both films were criticized for). The final act takes place in a theater and has extras dressed in what seems like a mix of Renaissance and 1960s clothes, like out of Ever After or Shakespeare in Love. All of these films were released in 1998.
