- Accidental Innuendo: During one of her songs, Betty Boop refers to herself as a working girl. "Working girl" is also a slang word for a prostitute.
- Older Than They Think: Many viewers may assume Betty's love interest Freddy is a Canon Foreigner. In reality, Freddy is part of the Betty Boop canon. He appeared in some cartoons during 1934 and 1935; as the original Betty Boop cartoons haven't run on television for years, casual viewers wouldn't know that.
- Retroactive Recognition: Desiree Goyette, Betty Boop's voice in this special, will quickly be recognized as that of Nermal from Garfield and Friends.
