- Fan Nickname: The She-ild - A trio debuting almost exactly to the five-year anniversary of the Shield's debut, and displaying a penchant for backstage ambushes and ganging up on their opponents, even having a similar composition—one tougher-looking bruiser (Sarah Logan; essentially an analogue to Roman Reigns), one Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette alt girl who led the group (Ruby Riott; the analogue to Seth Rollins), and one blonde inclined to crazy expressions, including sticking out her tongue (Liv Morgan; the analogue to Dean Ambrose).
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Back in her time in IWA-Mid South, Ruby (then Heidi Lovelace) used Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation", the same theme song used by Ronda Rousey, whom she and the rest of the Riott Squad finally met and fought in the WWE in 2018.
- Memetic Mutation: Gay Meat.note
- Narm: Their initial promos upon debuting were not well-received, with many people using the word "cringe" to describe them. Much of the criticism was directed towards Liv and Sarah, specifically that they seemed too happy and cheery compared to Ruby.
- Never Live It Down: Sarah Logan posted something in 2020 appearing to endorse the "Boogaloo" race war scenario. People have not let her forget it.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Some felt the third spot should have gone to Aliyah, who was in an alliance with Liv Morgan on NXT and wasn't doing very much beforehand either (and would find herself jobbing for most of 2018). This would have given the squad a little more continuity with NXT, as many felt that Sarah Logan was out of place as the third member.
