• Awesome Art: There is such beautiful animation in this film. The framing device and the different vignettes are all coated in style.
• Iron Woobie: Mustafa. The man's been imprisoned for seven years and treated poorly, but he never stops facing the day with a kindness and dignity that makes you want to root for him. He takes everything in stride and even his execution is something he'd face down with a kind poem and a forgiveness to the one's involved.
