• Catharsis Factor: After all the trouble he caused the heroes for four seasons, seeing Vlad get savagely beat up and then de-powered is incredibly satisfying.
• Fanfic Fuel:
  • Since Nocturne caused to her have a nightmare instead of the happy Lotus-Eater Machine dreams he gave the others, what would Dayla's happy dream be had she gotten one?
  • Danny apparently once used his ghost powers to sneak into the girls' locker room. One can't help but wonder if Dayla ever did the same thing in the boys locker room as well.
  • Regarding the few ex-members of the Guys in White who did not go rogue after being shut down, what other fields of work did they get into?
• Fanon: It's not unheard of to think that Poindexter developed a crush on Dayla due to her kindness towards him.
• Fridge Brilliance:
  • Why did it seem like Dayla had better control over her powers than Danny at first, even though they both got them at the same time? The Ultimate Enemies would have Danny offhandedly remark that he and Dayla were going through "evil puberty" after they got the Ghostly Wail, and girls generally mature faster than boys.
  • At first glance, Dayla not being the one to go into Nocturne's dream would seem like yet another instance of the Danny/Sam Romantic Plot Tumor being in play. However, considering that Danny had just discovered his little sister having a horrific nightmare that she told him about in full detail, he most likely didn't want her being subjected to any more mental trauma.
  • It wasn't touched upon, but compared to her brother, Dayla actually had a more justified reason for snapping at Jazz for going through hers and Danny's computer files. A later chapter reveals that Dayla keeps her diary on her computer, so there's a chance Jazz could've read her personal secrets.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
  • Andrew is the only one of the core group that never got an episode/chapter centered on him, not even in the season 4 fic. This would've been a good opportunity to flesh him out and expand more on his character beyond being a Satellite Love Interest for Dayla.
    • This is somewhat mitigated in the story, The Phantom Twins: Path of Revenge, where Andrew is the main focus with Dayla accompanying him.
  • After clearing up the misunderstanding with Danny and Sidney Poindexter, Dayla places his mirror portal inside her locker to give him a second chance at dishing out karma against bullies. Too bad that his only major appearance was in Splitting Images. Some even felt he could've become a potential rival with Andrew for Dayla's affections.
  • Even after she joined the group in season 4, we are still never shown if Valerie and her father ever got out of living in their old apartment. Though considering Damon is still working at Axion labs in the 4th fic, it's probably safe to say they got at least some of their financial stability back.
  • Zortheus, the ghost sorcerer, who became a shut-in after ghosts used his potions for evil. After Dayla manages to get him to open his heart to others once more and he gives her a special bracelet to summon him with, he could've become an invaluable ally to the Phantom Twins, especially with his ability of omniscience. Sadly, he disappears after Danny's Final Hour and isn't even seen or mentioned amongst the group's allies in the final showdown against Vlad, nor does Dayla ever even use the bracelet either.
  • Sojourn, the ghost nomad. Carried over from Butch Hartman's Secrets of the Ghost Zone, he is mentioned several times throughout the 4th fic, but does not make a single physical appearance. He is a central character in mikaela2015's Senior Year story, though.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
  • Some believe it would've been better for Dayla to team up with the girls in their mission to stop the villainesses instead of going on the father/son fishing trip in Girls Night Out, seeing it as a chance for her to fight without Danny. This was even brought up In-Universe by Jazz and even Dayla herself.
  • Some think that Dayla should've gotten a chapter revolving around her mutated form. Instead, she only gets a few minutes and then spends the next chapter unconscious before being cured at the end of said chapter.
  • Dayla entering the beauty pageant in Beauty Marked could've led to her being at loggerheads with Sam over whether or not they're as bad as she claims they are. Instead, she ends up agreeing with her that they're stupid after they're both declared the winners.
  • In Frightmare, Nocturne causes Dayla to have a terrible nightmare as part of an experiment to see how much energy he can harvest from her instead of giving her a happy dream like the others. A few have commented that it would've made more sense to have her go inside his dream instead of Danny and Sam so she could get some payback.
    • On that note, had Danny not woken her up at the beginning of the chapter, the fact that Nocturne specifically gave Dayla a nightmare to get more energy from her means that he could've easily brainwashed her to become his minion in a manner similar to Sam with Undergrowth.
