• Awesome Music: Alexandre Desplat's score for the film has earned a fair number of accolades, including a Satellite Award.
• Padding: The sequence where the Aether's radio is damaged by an Asteroid Thicket and has to be repaired by spacewalkers doesn't affect the plot beyond increasing the running time and killing Maya. The movie could have easily cut the sequence and just had Augustine tell Sully what happened to Earth without being interrupted.
• Visual Effects of Awesome: The movie is beautifully shot, both the arctic scenes set on Earth but especially the scenes in space and the scene on X-23.
