"Grub Snub"

  • Broken Base: Regarding the conflict between Lincoln and Leni's friend groups, no one can agree on which side is meant to be in the wrong, or whether both sides are wrong, or neither of them are.
  • Ron the Death Eater: Many fans view Lincoln and his friends' behavior in the episode as them being entitled jerks who wanted Gus’ for themselves, but given Leni’s friends inconsiderate behavior (eating all of Lincoln’s group’s pizza, hogging the games, and Miguel gloating about winning the Rip Hardcore kitchenware Clyde wanted) their frustration seems rather understandable.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
    • Lincoln and his friends pretty much act like this throughout the entire episode. They act like they're entitled to Gus's place, try to sabotage it to drive Leni and her group out, and when all that fails, rather coldly tell the teens to beat it, making them come off as control freaks who want to call the shots at a public place. The fact that their actions get Mr. Gus hurt doesn't make them look any better. Yet they get a happy ending with Leni's group, even though they deserve to be kicked out for their selfish behavior instead.
    • On the other side of the coin, Leni's group, despite the intention of seeing them as victims of the conflict escalation. They weren't merely hanging out in the same place, but showed several acts of inconsiderate and rude behavior towards Lincoln's (including taking and eating Pizza that Lincoln's group had paid for themselves; along with Miguel's uncharacteristic jerkass behavior towards Clyde) that makes it difficult to feel sorry for them. Lincoln and his friends shouldn't have escalated the conflict in the way they did, but they had every right to be upset with Leni's group.
