YMMV / The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones

Go To

  • Ass Pull: The Flintstones and the Rubbles getting back home via some absorbed fuel from Elroy's time machine. What?
  • Awesome Music: That is Bowzer singing "Bedrock Rock" after all.
  • First Installment Wins: Among the Jetsons' four feature-length endeavors, this one has proven the most iconic, especially among children of the '80s and '90s. Among the three in Warner Bros.' possession, it marks the only one included in the Jetsons Complete Series DVD boxset.
  • Heartwarming Moment: While rather sudden, Fred's car returning to the past near the end of the film. While taking the Flintstone and Rubble families with it. Along with George's explanation, is rather endearing.
    Jane: What's happening, Elroy?
George: It's simpler than that, Elroy. That old car wants to go home as much as they do.
Fred: Oh, boy! Bedrock, we're on our way.
Barney: I can't wait to get home!
    Fred: So long, George!
    George: Bye Fred! Barn!
Jane: So long, Wilma! Bye, Betty!
    Astro: See ya round, Rino!
    George, Jane and Elroy: Bye!
Fred: (voices echo's as he and the others fade away) Yabba-dabba-doo!
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Beginning with the 2001 VHS, the front cover of the individual home media and digital releases depicts the Jetsons' apartment building looming over Bedrock, contradicting the movie's notion of the family living in a different time period from the Flintstones and Rubbles. Nevertheless, later years would see the spread of a fan theory referring to Bedrock as the primitive, literally lower-class society underneath Orbit City.
  • Tear Jerker: Judy's sadness at never getting to see her crush from the past, Iggy is surprisingly sad. Though she at least gets some consolation upon meeting his distant descendant, Rex Saturn.
