• Awesome Music: Both of the show's theme songs, which were written, produced, and performed by Jamie himself.
• Harsher in Hindsight: In one episode, Jamie meets his aunt's old friend, big-name actress Edwinna Dubois. It soon becomes clear that she's willing to scratch Jamie's professional back if he does quite a bit more than scratch hers. She sexually harasses him, it's played for dark, uncomfortable laughs, and he turns her down flat out of integrity. She takes it well, possibly because she has another suitor lined up, and he's "ready for [his] close-up". While this sort of thing has been going on in Hollywood since, well, Hollywood^note and one wonders if this episode is based on specific things Foxx experienced and/or heard about, it now looks even worse after the Harvey Weinstein scandal and related controversies.
• Memetic Mutation: "Yo Pierre, you wanna come out here?" This line became famous as Pi'erre Bourne's producer tag, and is featured on several hit singles he produced, and eventually spawned numerous parodies.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: What most fans thought of the 4th season and beyond.
