Awesome Anachronistic Apparel: Subverted by Dave, who recommends a clothing store to Todd for his date so he'll look like a "proper English gentleman". When Todd shows up for his date with Alice he tells her he purchased new clothing for the event, to which she responds, "Where, 1872?"
"Funny Aneurysm" Moment: In one episode, one character incredulously asks another "You're STILL sending money to Haiti?!" This comment was clearly referencing the Haiti earthquake that occurred almost a year before the episode aired. Unfortunately, the episode ended up airing a mere 2 days after the beginning of a cholera outbreak in Haiti.
Jerkass Woobie: It's hard not to feel sorry for Todd after he finds out he's adopted, considering it's probably the one thing that isn't in some way or another his fault in the whole show. Then he startsreacting.
