YMMV / The Han Solo Adventures

Go To

  • Base-Breaking Character: Blue Max and Bollux are either two of the best droids in the franchise or a poor man's Artoo and Threepio.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: See here.
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The series was a big enough hit in Hungary to prompt four sequel novels to be written in Hungarian by local authors (although they are not official Legends installments due to the publishers not bothering to get copyright approval when the authors thought that they had).
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Go here.
  • He's Just Hiding: In a rare Red Shirt example, given the good fights that several doomed miners put up in a fleeing ship, at a gun turret, and during a Construction Vehicle Rampage in Han Solo and the Lost Legacy, it can be nice to hope that some of them survive their vehicles exploding or positions being overrun.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Go here.
  • More Popular Replacement: While reptilian gunslinger Uul-Rha-Shan from Han Solo at Stars End isn't unpopular, he's not terribly fleshed out or memorable, while the next book introduces Gallandro, another gunman who is a lot more multidimensional and is viewed as one of the most interesting Worthy Opponent enemies Han ever faces.
  • Narm Charm: Han accidentally starts a Cargo Cult while running a movie theater showing ocean worlds on a desert planet in the prologue of Han Solo's Revenge. It may be a lighthearted, comical interlude, but it still manages to provide a genuinely tense action scene when the locals riot when Han stops playing the movie, as well as perhaps a bit of pathos with the realization of how unhappy they are with their planet's environment.
  • Signature Scene: The march of the War Robots of Xim in Han Solo and the Lost Legacy, given how they are the first droid army to appear in the Star Wars franchise, are a lot more competent than the Clone Wars-era droid army and have a series of gripping Mutual Kill moments while fighting some surprisingly tough Punch Clock Villains.
