• Tear Jerker:
  • Hae-sik’s death. He had uncovered lots of evidence that could expose Woobyeok for all of his crimes and what happens? He’s sold out by his own attorney and is killed with his death being staged to look like a suicide.
  • Young-soon berating Kahn-ho for going to the hospital and be with his girlfriend instead of going to take his college exams. Young-soon is so concerned about his education that she prioritizes the exams over his girlfriend’s wellbeing. This unknowingly causes him to develop a cold personality as an adult.
  • While trying to feed Kang-ho, he refuses to eat any of the food offered to him. Young-soon becomes so frustrated that she tries to forcefully feed him before asking him why he won’t eat. He then repeats the same phrase she said to him growing up: “You get sleepy when you’re full. If you get sleepy, you won’t be able to study.” This causes her to realize how much damage she unknowingly caused by prioritizing his studies over him eating properly and she cries out of shame.
