  • While this is the first Disney Channel original animated television series to deal with the topic of menstruation, it is far from the first Disney production to deal with it altogether. Not only did Turning Red utilize the concept in 2022 in addition to the Big Hero 6 mini-series Baymax! and sitcom Sydney to the Max, but there was a whole short dedicated to menstruation that dates all the way back to 1946 called The Story of Menstruation.
  • It also isn't the first cartoon series for kids to have an episode revolving around someone's first period; the Canadian Braceface did it all the way back in 2001.
