- Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Jack Thompson really that of a moralistic, self-righteous Jerkass trying to stifle free expression in God's name, or was he right all along with Rockstar and Take-Two's moral degeneracy (especially considering fan backlash over GTA becoming a sellout franchise succumbing to avarice via microtransactions and incessant re-releases of GTA V)?
- Harsher in Hindsight: As mentioned above, it seems as though Thompson has been vindicated somewhat in regards to Take-Two's moral bankruptcy, specifically in its business model of games as a service, gateway gambling and suppression of fan-made modifications which has left the core GTA fanbase livid.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Prior to the film's airing on BBC, fans have modded Daniel Radcliffe's character model as Harry Potter into GTA. Now it has come full circle when Radcliffe himself starred in a work about the games, though without Rockstar's blessing.
- Jerkass Woobie: Jack Thompson. On one hand you could hate on him for being a loud-mouthed, bigoted Moral Guardian, but on the other, you could see his frustrations over societal issues in America.
- Narm: The GTA fan community found the execution rather corny and shallow, though some did enjoy the film for what its worth despite its glaring factual errors and artistic licence.
