• Ass Pull: Barry claiming that he believes someone like Thawne can change can seem like this when one remembers how not long ago Barry explicitly told Nora of just how evil a person he is. Granted, in that case that could have been old feelings coming up to the surface. It should also be noted that Barry's tone indicates that while he believes it's possible for Thawne to change, he doesn't believe that it's likely to happen.
• Ho Yay: Raya and Joss. Raya breaks Joss out of jail twice, during which she stood in a stereotypically flirtatious manner. The two later stole a car together, Joss beaming at Raya when she wasn't looking. Raya also appeared to be jealous of Nora, after the latter gave a speech about how Joss wasn't a criminal. And at the end of the episode, when Nora caught them, Joss said, "Raya, hold on to me," so they could disappear into a bolt of lightning
• Narm: The expensive, experimental, excessively dangerous military vehicle has its capabilities represented by a menu of rather goofy looking emojis.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Cecile going easy on Joslyn because her mind-reading powers allow to see that Joslyn is feeling genuine remorse — even if Joslyn is sorry she still willfully committed numerous crimes that could've easily hurt or killed people; plus Cecile's isn't her lawyer, she is a prosecutor and going so blatantly soft would be unprofessional. If Cecile didn't have her powers she would've treated her like any other defendant.
  • While Cisco's argument that some meta-humans deserve the chance for a normal life has validity, his particular example makes no sense because he chooses every day to go to work with Team Flash and not find a normal job where he doesn't have to be a hero.
