• Broken Base: Fans reaction to Iris' "You are not the Flash, Barry. We are." remark to Barry in response to him saying "I am the Flash" was polarizing. Many thought this phrase was ridiculous since Iris is more of the Mission Control, Barry is supposed to be The Flash and for them there are better ways to show support to your fiancé. Others understood that she meant that she was there for her beloved one and that Iris has been an essential part on Barry's role as The Flash.
• Character Rerailment: If it wasn't clear in the Season 4 premiere, the Fun Personified Barry that was absent for most of Season 3 (save for the time he lost his memories, in "Cause and Effect") makes a triumphant return here, and is even the source of most of the episode's hilarity.
• Fridge Horror: Once you're done laughing at Shaquille O'Neal being a saint on Earth-19, you have to wonder if they share our world's rule that a person typically has to be dead for at least five years before being considered for sainthood.
• Rooting for the Empire: Due to his targets being unsympathetic jerks and the fact up till the end he wasn't an active threat to Flash himself many fans found themselves rooting for Kilg%re to succeed.
