• Fridge Logic:
  • Instead of killing himself why didn't Eddie just sterilize himself beforehand by vasectomy or, in the moment, shoot himself in the groin? If he couldn't have offspring, it's still going to get rid of Thawne most likely.
    • Depending on who you ask, death may be preferable to that.
  • Plus there's the fact of the sperm might likely be preserved and thus Eobard would still be born.
  • Or, um, couldn't he just shoot Thawne?
    • Barry has dodged bullets before, and Eddie knew that. There was little time, and little room for error. The most surefire way was for Eddie to shoot himself.
• Like You Would Really Do It: A sad fact, but a fact nonetheless: Barry didn't save his mom.
• Shocking Moments: As it is the season finale, this is naturally expected with many plot twists and development:
  • Cisco unwittingly discovers that he may have metahuman abilities from the particle accelerator explosion.
  • Eddie shooting himself in the chest to prevent the Reverse Flash from killing anybody.
  • The flashes of the future in the Speed Force:
    • Barry in prison
    • Killer Frost
    • The Flash Museum
  • Jay Garrick's helmet arriving through the wormhole has particularly excited fans.
  • The wormhole reopens and threatens to destroy the entire world.
