  • Accidental Nightmare Fuel: "The Dimension Of Kids Who Improved The World By Wishing They Were Never Born" was probably meant to be a joke, but the Fridge Horror it implies the existence of such a place and the fact that it looks like Hell makes it terrifying.
  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • Following this episode, Timmy takes a quite notable level in jerkassery and cynicism, which may stem from the events of this episode. He must have felt so hurt and humiliated, he started to become like this because he stopped caring about the consequences of his actions. After all, the world is better off without him.
    • The ending doesn't make it clear whether the alternate timeline Jorgen showed Timmy was real or fake.
  • Ass Pull: Apparently Vicky being an evil babysitter and Francis being a bully are all somehow Timmy's fault, despite Vicky and Francis already being terrible people before meeting Timmy.
  • Don't Shoot the Message: While the aesop about how you should do good deed for the sake of them and not for appreciation isn't necessarily a bad message, the fact that the lack of appreciation Timmy receives stems from pure pettiness and blowing stuff out of proportion sort of makes the aesop feel hollow.
  • Fanon Discontinuity: Many fans prefer to think that this episode never existed. Some go as far as to not only refuse to acknowledge this episode as a part of the canon, but the episodes that came after this one too.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Butch Hartman's apology for this episode's mean-spiritedness is rendered hollow when he went on to approve several episodes of the show that are equally (if not more) mean-spirited towards Timmy, such as "Open Wide and Say Aaagh!"note , "Vicky Gets Fired"note  and "Lights Out"note .
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: One of the timeline differences listed by Jorgen is the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series... something that became actually true in the 2016 World Series.
  • Moral Event Horizon: While he was teaching Timmy a lesson about doing good deeds, Jorgen still crossed this when he attempts to kill Timmy by sending him to the place where kids who wished they were never born, which is equivalent to hell basically.
  • Seasonal Rot: A few people argue that the show started to get worse and worse from this episode onward.
  • Strawman Has a Point: Timmy receives no appreciation for his good deeds. While he can be a jerk, he had every right to be upset with no one appreciating his work, especially since many of the complaints he got (particularly from AJ and Bickles) were completely petty.
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: While Timmy is supposed to be in the wrong for expecting appreciation for his attempted good deeds, he was shown that the whole world is better off without him. Can you really blame him for getting upset and becoming an even bigger jerk in later episodes?
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic:
    • EVERYONE (except Timmy) is this. While they were all shown to be better off without Timmy, they all come off as ungrateful monsters who never liked Timmy one bit. This includes everyone that he’s close with.
    • We’re supposed to see Jorgen in the right while he teaches Timmy that one should do good things only because it’s the right thing to do. However, Jorgen tried to murder Timmy, a child, by banishing him to what’s basically hell as part of his test to Timmy.
