  • Alternate Aesop Interpretation: The ending gives the aesop that being right alone isn't enough to change public opinion or even get people who agree to be open about it, but that doesn't mean there aren't people who won't be willing to admit they agree with you.
  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Fanfic Fuel: This episode is notorious for fueling a lot of Timmy/Trixie fanfiction, mostly due to the fact that Trixie has some Hidden Depths - in the form of liking comic books and, apparently, being attracted to Timmy.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: This episode revealed another side to Trixie that would've made for a good character arc. However, no episode has brought it up again.
  • Values Resonance: Trixie being a tomboyish geek and Timmy being In Touch with His Feminine Side is now seen as perfectly normal, so the lesson at the end of the episode that you shouldn't be ashamed of your hobbies and attributes because they fall outside the typical gender roles is very progressive for its time.
