• Pop Culture Holiday: "Wednesday, March 22nd: Cosmo had an idea." Similar to the "Thursday the 20th" meme, this tends to get reposted on March 22nd, especially if it actually happens to fall on a Wednesday.
• Values Dissonance: The episode features a character using the term "gypped" at one point. When the episode first aired in 2001, the term was seen as an innocuous synonym for being ripped off; however, over the course of two decades, it would see more and more scrutiny due to growing awareness of its roots in anti-Romani sentiment, as Romani people are often stereotyped as swindlers. By 2021, the term would be widely recognized as a slur.
