• Moral Event Horizon:
  • The Hunter crosses it in the Wolf-Man ending by killing Grandma and raping Red.
  • Grandmother crosses it in the Cannibal ending by killing and eating her own granddaughter.
  • Red's mother crosses it in two endings. In the Cannibal ending, she sends Red to be eaten alive by her cannibalistic grandmother. In the Human Trafficking ending, she sells her own daughter into slavery.
• Nausea Fuel: The ending with Red being violently raped by the huntsman. It's a little girl being raped offscreen by a pedophile. It's enough to make you queasy.
• Nightmare Fuel: The ending where Red is eaten by her cannibalistic grandmother, with a terrifying shot of Grandma's monstrous face and the image of her eating Red's bloody meat afterward.
• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: The True Ends are so dark and unhappy that most players are turned off.
