- Angst? What Angst?: The Doctor is not very saddened by Steven and Sara's deaths. Katarina is a bit shaken up, but is never showed greiving. Sara doesn't seem bothered that she killed her brother.
- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The Master's brief appearance in Part 8. It comes out of nowhere and he's never brought up again after Part 8.
