- Diagnosed by the Audience: Paulie is quiet, unsociable, quite stoic; and only prefers to bang his hand against his toy xylophone (possibly a form of stimming). This could either be linked to something neurological (such as autism), or maybe a psychological symptom of the virus.
- Fridge Logic: What would come up next once the children are done with all the adults worldwide? Would they just begin slaughtering each other until nobody would remain alive?
- Paranoia Fuel: Your children or someone else's gets sick with what's probably the flu. No big deal right? But slowly, they turn into murderers out for your blood, no matter how close you are with them. It may make one want to keep a knife close by the next time they see a sick kid.
