• Darker and Edgier: This is essentially an old-school "lost video game" creepypasta adapted for the modern age, but with the concept being more realistic and incorporating a LOT of real-life information to sell the horror far more effectively. The violence and torture that is present is depicted as far more realistic and far more horrifying with a traumatized narrator.
• Everyone Is Satan in Hell: Explicitly invoked in the thread. The narrator states that the cult was likely trying to get into video game development as a way to brainwash new recruits (or broadcast messages to the cult) and they even talked about the old Satanic Panic of The '80s but it's also subverted when the narrator says that the cult dismissed the Satanic Panic as nonsense, but believed that gaming could be used as a tool for mind control
  • Rather disturbingly, a different poster responds the narrator and is convinced that some kind of Satanic elite is already doing this. Given the fact the thread was posted on 4chan's /x/ board, Poe's Law is in full effect.
