  • Fashion-Victim Villain: The Salem Raiders have chosen the 'fearsome' uniform of plastic jack-o-lantern helmets.
  • Franchise Original Sin: Chapter 2's abrasive allies, torture scenes, long NPC speeches, and unimportance of the player in plot events are also in Chapter 1. In there, there were only traces of it.
  • Good Bad Bugs: After the funeral scene, your next goal is to be let into the FSD compound, which you do by completing either the next three main quests or ten radiant bounties. After doing one of those, you receive the "Old Friends" quest, get FSD access soon after, and the story continues. However, it used to be that the radiant option didn't check whether you'd been to the funeral, meaning that you could skip a huge part of the mod just by doing ten radiant bounties, starting "Old Friends", and following the main questline from there. You could even go back and do the first part of the mod later. This bug was patched but seems to have reappeared as of the 2.1 update.
  • Ron the Death Eater: In the base game, DC head guard Danny Sullivan is a genial guy who tries his best at his job despite being somewhat out-of-his-depth. Conversations in this mod portray him as totally incompetent and a sexual harasser.
  • Strawman Has a Point: Cooter is obviously wrong to blame the Sheriff for "stirring up the Gunners" with her counterattacks when the Gunners are a hostile and villainous faction in general. However, he does have a valid point about how the Sheriff's brutality and fear tactics don't actually intimidate all the bad guys into staying away, and that he is suffering consequences for the FSD making enemies while not receiving the benefits of FSD protection.
