• Fridge Brilliance: X-23 is knocked out when Knife attacks the group — the only member of the team who is so disabled — and when they get her back to the ship there's a comment about her Healing Factor not working as it should. Depending on when Wolverines is set on the timeline in relation to this series, it's possible that Laura isn't healing because she had her healing factor drained by Siphon in the final issue, and it's operating at a reduced capacity, if at all.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Black Vortex is a mysterious artifact handing out cosmic-level powers willy-nilly. Yet somehow it didn't attract the attention of other cosmic powers. Imagine the awesome of a three-way battle royale between the Vortex-empowered heroes, Phoenix!Jean, and Captain Universe!X-23.
