• Awesome Music: A Gaseous Rap.
• Contested Sequel: While the game has received the best reviews from critics, not all of the fans are convinced it is as well-made as Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams.
• Ethnic Scrappy: Travis the Dark Juju can be seen as offensive and tasteless for French gamers.
• It Was His Sled: Travis the Dark Juju helped the Black Mist cheat.
• No Yay: Lok and the Grammazons. The latter look young but they are old.
• Older Than They Think: Contrary to popular belief, this isn't Lok's first playable appearance. He was playable in the multiplayer mode of The Staff of Dreams.
• Squick: The food from the Shaman Snack Shack, especially sheep stomach for those who get queasy thinking of haggis.
• Unexpected Character: Nobody expected the Mummy King from the first game to come back.
