- Broken Base: As is often the case with a movie that is more inspired from a book than based on it. Some fans of the book hate the movie, some find it tolerable.
- Fridge Brilliance: In the movie, love being the opposite of darkness might not make any sense. But here is the thing, darkness has two meanings, one being the absence of light the other one being wickedness. At first, the twins thought their uncle's darkness was referring to the first definition, and the opposite of that is light. Of course the darkness in this context was actually referring to wickedness and of course love is the opposite of wickedness.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: Two magical siblings from another dimension, one of whom happens to live in a gated community called Waverly. T*Witches Too actually premiered immediately ahead of the premiere of Wizards of Waverly Place.
- Retroactive Recognition: Years later, audiences would recognize Ileana as Jocelyn Schitt and Thantos as Howard Hamlin.
