• Ho Yay: Hal/Kai in particular. Hal can be considered bisexual which makes him a walking Ho Yay magnet. He and Kai are extremely close, to the point where there is no evidence denying that they could be an item. Hiki/Kagiyama also counts, especially in some of the official doujinshi, and there are many other examples throughout the series and its side materials.
  • Hal and Kai are always worried about each other on missions.
  • Hal putting his face close to Kai's or shouting his name repeatedly when Kai switches to his Split Personality.
  • Hal putting his face close to Kai's and saying "strip" when Kai has to go undercover Disguised in Drag.
  • In chapter 7, Hal get's very annoyed when Kai has to go on a date with Mari for a mission, and even forces himself between them at one point [1].
  • Hal always facing off with Mari, who is in love with Kai.
  • Chapter 8 has Kai offer to share his cutesy home made lunch with heart-shaped rice with Hal, with the following pages featuring Kai feeding Hal in the backgroud and the two of them very close together.
  • Kai getting very shocked and blushing when he sees Hal seducing a male high school student in the High School Arc.
  • Throughout the manga Hal is shown to grow fonder and fonder of Kai, acting like a Tsundere towards him at times.
  • The ending of the manga has Kai regain his memories and leave him in Heroic BSoD mode until Hal breaks him out of it through hypnotism, saying he'd give his life for him, and leaving Kai with no memories of Hal with it ending with the two of them walking past each other, Hal almost in tears, which is obviously a Tear Jerker for all the readers.
